A successful season of inter school matches at High School level has now concluded with all seven competitions run by the Norfolk Cricket Board completed before the end of term for the first time in several seasons! Langley School proved the dominant force in this summer’s competitions, winning 3 of the 7 titles on offer and overall there were some excellent finals and very closely contested games proving that schools cricket is far from dead.

The competitions attracted 93 entrants to make this one of the most successful in recent years. Significant thanks must go to John Chilvers and Jonathan Cooke who expertly ensured the smooth organisation of the draws, early rounds, finals and all communications with schools.

Thanks also to the schools themselves for making the commitment to the competitions and thanks also to the UK weather which (barring a cold spring) was relatively kind this year!Should any schools wish to join these competitions for the first time please email John Chilvers at: alexandjohn5@btinternet.com
