Norfolk vs Northants

Norfolk U13's beat Northants U13's on a beautiful day at Fakenham CC. Norfolk batted first on what was a fantastic pitch and fast outfield. With half centuries, Ollerton (63) and Binny (57) top scored for Norfolk posting 162.

Binny then got Norfolk off to a great start with a wicket in the first over. Northants did try to play in a very positive manner but with wickets falling regularly they failed to challenge Norfolks total. Binny and Carver took 3 wickets each and Northants were all out for 116. Another great performance from Norfolk.

Norfolk vs Hunts

Norfolk U13's continued their winnining ways with an excellent win over Hunts. Having been put in, Norfolk stuttered at first losing 2 early wickets. Oscar Binny and Matthew Bint then steadied the ship taking Norfolk into the 60's. Both then fell in the space of a few overs. Luke Marchant came to the middle and produced a superb knock of 54 not out backed up by Ben Watson (17).Norfolk finished on 157. Hunts made a great attempt of chasing down the total but as usual Norfolks bowling and fielding was first class. Great catches by Luke Marchant and Callum Futter was backed up by some good tight bowling. The wickets were shared between the bowlers with Alex Gray producing a great spell of 5 overs 1 wicket for 10 runs at a crucial time in the game. Well done Norfolk.

Norfolk  v Bedfordshire

Norfolk entertained Bedfordshire at Swanton Morley CC. Having won the toss Norfolk elected to bowl first. Bedfordshire raced off to an 83 first wicket partnership. E. Gay producing a beautiful innings of 67. He was finally caught by Rob Baker off Kieran Peters. Norfolk bowled and fielded well but with the good start behind them Beds put together a great total of 218. Norfolk started well with Laurie Ollerton scoring 38 but were always just behind the rate and asked to much in the last 15 overs. Callum Futter produced some big shots but when he was run out for a quickfire 26 the task became to much. Norfolk were bowled out for 166. Credit goes to Beds for their performance and a big thank you to Swanton Morley CC for being fantastic hosts.
