Special Schools Cricket Festival 2013

Special Schools Cricket Festival 2013

Special schools from across the County assembled at Fakenham Cricket Club in glorious weather on 4th July for what is now an annual event with the disability programme.

In the Kwik Cricket :

Sidestrand Hall, Fred Nicholson each entered two teams and were joined by Churchill Park with each playing each other in a round robin tournament.

Each therefore played four matches with Sidestrand Hall ( 1 ) winning all their games to be declared the overall winners from Fred Nicholson (2) who lost the head to head. Sidestrand ( 2 ) finshed third winning two matches with Churchill Park 4th by virtue of their victory over Fred Nicholson ( 1 )

In the Adapted Cricket :

The Hall School took on The Clare School in a series of cricket related activities involving the use of The Cricket Factory Skills Set. At lunch the scores were tied at 6 points each with all to play for in the final challenge - a heavily adapted game of kwik cricket. Generous umpiring and fair degree of cheating from support staff meant scores were level with the last Hall School batter at the crease - the winning run was duly scored with his team victorious.

Trophies and medals were presented to the winners and runners up. The Hall School are pictured.

A real fun packed day with winning and losing well down the agenda.
