New Deal with TCS for all County Youth Age Groups

New Deal with TCS for all County Youth Age Groups

Norfolk Cricket Board are pleased announced a partnership with Total Cricket Scorer (TCS), the world leading, easy-to-use cricket software for recording scores of cricket matches.

The aim of this partnership is to score all the junior county fixtures right the way up to the Norfolk U19’s  scored on Total Cricket Scorer. The benefits are vast, which include:

·         Updates all batsman and bowler statistics

·         Provided live scores on the internet

·         Handles traditional scorecard and linear score sheet

·         Displays multiple graphs and wagon wheels

·         Updates external packages including Play-Cricket

The ability to provide live scores for our junior county programme is an excellent benefit and enables introduction of this sort of technology to the non-professional game. Keen followers of our junior county teams will be able to keep an eye on scores as they happen, without being at the game.

More in-depth analysis available from batsmen and bowlers statistics will for the first time assist coaches and managers to provide more evidence based coaching to players like never before.

The use of Total Cricket Scorer will initially be for the following squads:

Boys Under 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17 and 19

Girls Under 13s, Under 15s and Under 17s

All above games being scored through Total Cricket Scorer will give live ball-by-ball coverage through the NCB and TCS websites when wifi access is available. It is hoped that following successful operation, TCS will be rolled out to the other county squads.

Chris Brown (NCB Performance Manager) said: “I am delighted that we have teamed up with TCS, this will allow coaches within our performance system gain the appropriate information to help best develop our talented young players. The system also allows match scores and updates to be streamed online live, which I think will attract some interest. I am looking forward to this roll out for the 2014 season and beyond.”
