Norfolk Under 13’s got off to a winning start against Cambridgeshire at a sunny Great Witchingham.  Having won the toss, Norfolk elected to bowl.  Cambridgeshire found scoring tough against a disciplined Norfolk attack with both seamers and spinners causing problems.  George Bowman was the pick of the bowlers, returning figures of 8 - 1 - 28 - 4.  Cambridgeshire completed their innings reaching 144 for 8.

In reply, Norfolk got off to a steady start and after 25 overs had reached 83 for 2.  Hudson De Lucchi then played a robust innings, making 51 not out and taking Norfolk to victory with an over to spare.

Norfolk beat Lincolnshire by 5 Wickets


Norfolk Under 13’s continued their winning start to the season with a 5 wicket win over a tough Lincolnshire outfit at a sunny Great Witchingham.

Again Norfolk won the toss and elected to bowl.  Scoring was proving tricky from the start with all the Norfolk attack bowling well.  Wickets came steadily throughout the innings, with Dan Arnold

8 - 4 - 7 - 2, the pick of the bowlers but well supported by Jack North 1 - 8, Will Grisley 2 - 28, Charlie Rogers 2 - 25 and Tyler Murphy 2 - 16.  A super all round effort to restrict Lincolnshire to 136 all out.

Chasing a relatively low score was never easy on a variable track but all the Norfolk top order played with care and maturity.  Tyler Murphy and Charlie Rogers got the innings off to a steady start and after 16 overs Norfolk had reached 39 - 2.  Flynn Drinkell 28, Hudson De Lucchi 26 and Will Grisley 22, all played positively and pushed the score along to 112 - 5.  It was left to George Bowman 21 not out, and Dan Arnold 11 not out, to get Norfolk home with 4 overs to spare.



Norfolk Under 13's entertained local rivals Suffolk at Great Witchingham.  Norfolk put the visitors in to bat and at 12 for 2, Suffolk looked in a bit of trouble.  But an 80 run partnership for the third wicket certainly steadied the ship.  Suffolk ended their 40 overs on 135 for 6, with Will Grisley taking 3 for 14 from his 8 over spell.
In reply Norfolk never really looked in any danger with Tyler Murphy 20, Hudson De Lucchi 35 and a maiden half century for Will Grisley, all making batting look relatively easy on a slow, low track.  Although Norfolk lost a few wickets towards the end of the innings the home side reached their target with 3 wickets to spare.  A superb victory and another great display in the field from all the boys.

After a superb start to the season Norfolk were brought back down to earth with a 124 run defeat to Yorkshire at Dersingham.  Norfolk bowlers stuck to their task well and restricted Yorkshire to 163 for 4.  Ben Lockwood bowling beautifully to take 3 for 23.  But it was with the bat that Norfolk struggled against a quite superb pace attack with Tyler Murphy the only bat to make double figures.  Norfolk were bowled out for 39 in only 20 overs.

Norfolk got back to winning ways with a comfortable win against Warwickshire at Rugby CC.  Norfolk put the hosts in to bat and wickets at regular intervals throughout the innings.  Jack North the pick of the bowlers claiming 3 for 14.  Warwickshire were restricted to only 119 for 8 from their 40 overs courtesy of some tight bowling and some magnificent fielding again.
In reply Norfolk made light work of the total, with Tyler Murphy 35 batting very positively and Hudson De Lucchi 53 not out, taking Norfolk home with more than 11 overs to spare.

Norfolk travelled to St Ives to take on Huntingdonshire where they brushed aside the opposition.  Hunts were put into bat and all the Norfolk bowlers got amongst the wickets.  Dan Arnold 3 for 21, Charlie Rogers 3 for 24, Will Grisley 2 for 15 and Tyler Murphy 2 for 16 all proving too strong for the Hunts batsmen. 
In stark contrast the Norfolk openers made batting look easy, with Tyler Murphy 50 not out and Flynn Drinkell 49 not out easing Norfolk to a 10 wicket victory.
Norfolk Under 13's victorious from the Bromsgrove Festival winning all 3 of their matches.
On Day 1 Norfolk were drawn against a very well drilled Holland outfit and when Norfolk were struggling on 80 for 8 victory looked a long way off.  But Toby Adams 32 and Dan Arnold 39 played quite magnificently under a lot of pressure to allow Norfolk to post 150.
Holland seemed to be coasting at 82 for 1 but scoreboard pressure took it's toll and Holland crashed to 134 all out.  Will Grisley claiming 4 for 12 from his 8 overs.
Somerset were Day 2's opposition and again were looking at posting a healthy total when they were 112 for 2 but a superb fielding display along with some disciplined bowling restricted Somerset to 153 all out.  Arnold, Ashford and Rogers all claiming 2 wickets a piece.
Norfolk never looked in any trouble despite losing an early wicket.  Tyler Murphy 33 and skipper Will Grisley 56 batting beautifully, put on 76 for the 2nd wicket and Norfolk eased to a 5 wicket win with 3 overs to spare.
Norfolk's final victory came courtesy of a 141 run win over an Under 14's Pembrokeshire outfit.
Batting first Norfolk looked in a bit of trouble at 21 for 3 but again Toby Adams 40 and a brilliant 73 from Dan Arnold steadied the ship.  Jack Ashford 37 not out and a 25 ball 46 from Hudson De Lucchi pushed Norfolk to a mammoth 262 for 8.
Pembrokeshire never threatened, thanks to Jack North 3 for 13 and Ben Lockwood 2 for 27, and were bowled out for 121 with 16 overs remaining.
