The Lions were a new innovation for the 2014 season formed by an amalgamation of The Norfolk County Cricket Club Development X1 and The Norfolk Cricket Board Under 19s with the objective to offer more players in the 15 – 23 age bracket the opportunity to play competitive, County representative cricket and also offer a direct pathway into the Norfolk County 1st X1 for those who performed well.

In all 39 players were used during the season, and whilst winning the two competitions was massive one of the huge benefits was that six players Jordan Taylor, Lewis Denmark, David Turner, Will Dunger, James Hale and Ryan Conroy all made their competitive 1st X1 debuts in the Unicorns Minor Counties Championship and performed well.

Thanks are due to our Sponsors, Shell UK, Horsford CC, Garboldisham CC & Fakenham CC who hosted matches. The players for their commitment and to Chris Brown.
