TGS Womens League Report 2014

TGS Womens League Report 2014

The TGS Women’s Cricket League, run by the Norfolk Cricket Board has now completed its fourth season, and was probably the most successful yet.

For the first time ever the competition was split in to two divisions to try to give the right number of games for teams, and also ensure that standards were more even than in previous years.

In Division 2, Lowestoft won promotion by the narrow margin of 1 point from runners up Topcroft, who had an excellent first season in the competition. Lowestoft will be promoted to Division 1 in 2015, and will be replaced by Norwich who finished bottom of that league. Worthy winners of the TGS Division 1 crown in 2015 were Fakenham CC; Congratulations to them.

There will be a presentation evening and also discussion about the 2015 season, which will see Brooke CC enter the competition for the first time giving 9 teams in total. The presentation evening is on Thursday 6th November at Barnham Broom Hotel (7pm) and any other new teams interested in attending and joining the league should contact Kieron Tuck:
