Local OSCA's Winners Rewarded With Day to Remember at Lords

Once again our seven local OSCA winners were invited to a gala lunch which was held in The Nursery Pavilion at The Home of Cricket during October.  They were able to mix with a whole variety of stars and celebrities including Graeme Swann, Steve Finn, Lydia Greenway, Kate Cross ( all current  England players ) ITV Weather Girl Lucy Verasamy, Sarah – Jane Mee and Matt Floyd from Sky Sports, Past England Captains Michael Vaughan & Mike Gatting to name but a view. The event was hosted by BBC TMS commentator  Jonathan Agnew and being on the day of the ‘ KP ‘ book launch the contents were one of the main talking points.

Congratulations once again are due to :

- Sue Hodgson ( Terrington CC ) – Scorers award

- Paul Harwood ( Reepham & Salle CC ) – Behind The Scenes

- Kent Laws ( Cromer CC ) – Nat West Cricket Force

- Hannah Brook ( Great Melton CC ) – Young Volunteer

- Grenville Ireland ( Great Melton CC ) – Life time achiever

- Kevin Fisher ( West Norfolk Cricket League ) – Leagues & Boards

- Steve Utting ( Halvergate CC ) – Building Partnerships

They are all pictured at the event together with Nick Cousins who represented the ECB and Emma Hardy from The Norfolk Cricket Board.

Volunteers are the lifeblood of the game and such recognition is thoroughly deserved – on this occasion we did not have a National winner in any of the categories but this did not detract from a wonderful occasion.

If anybody at your Club deserves such recognition why not nominate them for an award in 2015 – please get in touch.
