Old Buckenham High School Win Lady Taverners U13's 2015

U13 Lady Taverners Competition 2015 - Monday 9th March - UEA Sportspark

The 2015 Lady Taverners Under 13 competition saw the girls from Old Buckenham High School running out comprehensive winners for the first time. They started off well beating Northgate High School in their first match, over-coming competition nerves of playing in the event for the first time, quickly establishing themselves as favourites.

Flegg High School also started well winning each of their first four matches against Cromer Academy, Northgate, Lynn Grove High School and North Walsham to set up a winner take all match in the round – robin competition against Old Buckenham who were also unbeaten.

Batting first Flegg had no answer to the accurate bowling attack and were dismissed for just 19 runs – all bowled. In return Old Buckenham made 66/4 to run out winners by 47 runs to claim the trophy and now going on to represent Norfolk in the regional finals. The proud team are pictured with The Lady Taverners Cup and winners medals.
