Litcham High School Win Boys Chance to Compete U13's 2015

Chance to Compete U13’s 2015 – Tuesday 17th March – UEA Sportspark

Five teams competed in the inaugural Chance to Compete competition at the Under 13 age group which was for many of the players their first opportunity to play indoor hard-ball cricket. That said they quickly got into the swing of the six-a side format and some decent cricket followed.

Litcham School A team quickly established themselves as favourites beating Flegg High School and Alderman Peel in their first two matches which was matched by Reepham High who also won their first two matches setting up a competition decider in round three.

Litcham set a very challenging total of 223 which proved far too many for Reepham who finished 49 runs short. With both winning their final matches comfortably Litcham ( pictured ) were crowned champions with Reepham runners – up.

This competition is part of The Chance to Shine project and competition organiser Kevin Denmark from The Norfolk Cricket Board said ‘ This new competition has been a huge success and we now plan to run this on an annual basis – the opportunity to play competitive cricket is a huge part of the Chance to Shine programme and I would like to congratulate Litcham School and wish them good luck at the regional finals in July ‘
