Why Dan?

Dan has been an integral part of some big recent improvements in the coaching set up an delivery at Stow CC in the West of Norfolk.

The club have worked hard to re-energise their Clubmark Accreditation following some volunteer departures and Dan has been a key part of the Cricket Programme aspect with the club’s youth section.

Stow CC now run a very successful and well organised youth section with around 60-80 children involved. Dan has ensured that (in conjunction with support and planning from the club committee) the section has a very clear direction in terms of developing not only the performance side of things, but also ensuring that all players have fun and maintain their participation. As a result, numbers have been maintained and improved successfully and the club has also enjoyed success by winning the West Norfolk U14 league in 2014.

The club also boasts a healthy number of junior players who play for Norfolk in the Couty Age Group System. Two of the brightest prospects include Ben Wilcox and Freddie Fairey. The club are very proud of this and Dan has been an influential part of this success.

Dan is also involved with coaching the Men’s 1st team at the club and they have enjoyed success too by gaining promotion from Norfolk Alliance Division 1 to the Premier League for the 2016 season.
