The Competing teams included Stow, Bradfield, Swardeston, Acle, Vauxhall Mallards, Sheringham and Gt Melton.

The standard of cricket was the highest seen at a NCB Youth Competition. A tense finish saw the Winners and Runners up tied on points going into the last match. However, Sheringham finished as Runners up after unfortunately losing their last match and Vauxhall Mallards took the Winners spot for the U13 Hardball Competition.

Day Three

Wednesday was next on the agenda with the U10 softball competition and the U11 hardball Competition day 2.

Luckily the sun was shining for us again on the third day, and play commenced with over 65 children-playing cricket.

The U10 softball competition saw Burwell, Horsford, Acle and Swardeston battle it out. Swardeston CC came Runners up with the hosts Horsford CC winning, having only lost 1 match throughout the day.

Unfortunately Thursday 11th August fell victim to the British summer and the second U13 hardball day was cancelled.

Day Five

The final day of the week brought the U15 Competition into play. 4 teams battled it out in a 16 over bash.

Swardeston CC with a young looking side displayed a great talent to finish in the runners up spot. However Acle CC took the Winners medals are playing some explosive and entertaining cricket that we have seen all week. Horsford CC and Bungay CC both played some excellent cricket throughout the day as well.
