Norfolk NatWest OSCA Winners 2016

Norfolk NatWest OSCA Winners 2016

The NatWest Outstanding Service to Cricket Awards (OSCAs) aim to reward the contribution that volunteers make to the game. Established in 2003, the OSCAs form part of the ECB’s volunteering programme, which gives cricket clubs advice on educating, recruiting and rewarding volunteers. Here in Norfolk we really appreciate all those volunteers out there that help make club cricket what it is today. Without the 1000's of volunteers in Norfolk cricket, clubs would not be here!

This year for the first time 5 local county cricket boards (Essex, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Hertfordshire & Bedfordshire) held an awards ceremony together to commemorate all the local OSCA winners in each county. The event took place at Chelmsford, the home of Essex CCC. This took place during day 3 of the Specsavers Division Two County Championship match between Essex and Worcestershire.

The 7 NatWest OSCAs Winners For Norfolk Are As Follows:

- Heartbeat of the Club
= Joanna Wilcox (Stow Cricket Club)

A special mention for Joanna who has been shortlisted for the National Heartbeat of The Club Award. She is one of 3 nominees and she will find out whether she is a national winner when the annual NatWest OSCAs awards take place. These are once again held at Lord's in October 2016 and the evening promises to be a fantastic occasion as the ECB celebrates the contributions and efforts of grassroots volunteers from all over England and Wales.
