Ashtons Legal Norfolk U11:
239 All Out
Lincolnshire U11:
111 All Out

On Sunday 14th May Norfolk travelled to Spalding to play Lincolnshire. Batting first Norfolk piled on the pressure and thanks largely to a sublime 92 from skipper Arthur Wilcox which included 16 fours and 2 sixes, they were able to post the imposing score of 239 all out. Wilcox was supported by Trent Stoltz 28, Corey Rushton 27 and Campbell Tillcock 21no with the pick of the Lincs bowling 2-14 from E.Barnes.

Lincolnshire were in trouble early with 3 wickets lost for 1 run and never really recovered thanks largely to some accurate bowling and good fielding with only E.Barnes with 30 imposing himself on the Norfolk attack. Tillcock with 2 for 14 and Stoltz 2 for 18 lead the way for Norfolk and there were also wickets for Goerge Woodcock, Edward Jay, Jamie Granville, Harvey Moody, Edward Cross and Ben Hastings leaving Lincs on 111 all out and Norfolk with a wide margin victory.

Norfolk U11 vs Cambridgeshire U11 - Sunday 28th May - Mattishall CC

Ashtons Legal Norfolk U11:
170/9 From 40 Overs
Cambridgeshire U11:
160 All Out

On Sunday May 28th Norfolk Under 11's hosted Cambridgeshire at Mattishall. Batting first Norfolk scored a healthy 170-9 in their 40 overs. A superb opening partnership of 60 between Jamie Granville 31 and James Woodhead 28 set Norfolk on the road and an excellent 33 from Trent Stoltz on his home ground supported by contributions from across the team meant Norfolk could post a competitive total that ultimately proved beyond Cambridgeshire. T Jenkins the pick of the visitors bowling attack with 3-20.

At 99-2 Cambridgeshire were very well placed for victory and with Norfolk not fielding to their usual high standards things looked bleak. However Arthur Wilcox with 2 for 38 and Campbell Tillcock 2 for 17 supported by some miserly spin bowling from Harvey Moody closed the game out with Cambridgeshire still 11 short of victory. H Wilson top scoring with 43 and Y Choudary with 30 were the main contributors in the Cambridgeshire innings.

Suffolk U11 vs Norfolk U11 - Friday 2nd June - Haverhill CC

Ashtons Legal Norfolk U11:
165/6 From 40 Overs
Cambridgeshire U11:
90/9 From 40 Overs

On Friday 2nd June, Norfolk Under 11's travelled to Haverhill for their match against local rivals Suffolk. Batting first Norfolk compiled a decent total of 165-6 with the primary contributions coming from Harvey Moody 48no who in partnership with Trent Stoltz 30, put on 68 for the 5th wicket. Edward Jay, scored a hard-hitting 28 after early wickets sent shock waves through the Norfolk ranks. Pick of the Suffolk bowling was Louis Blanchard with 3 for 18.

In the field Norfolk held their catches and took their stumpings and had Suffolk on the rack from an early stage with wickets for Enoch Uthayarajan 1 for 13 and Campbell Tillcock 1 for 20 but it was the introduction of off-spinner Moody that caused a collapse of monumental proportions and saw him finish with the outstanding figures of 5 wickets for 6 runs in 8 overs. Wickets for skipper Arthur Wilcox 1 for 4 and James Woodhead 1 for 11 left Suffolk reeling on 90-9 with Freddie Dyer top scoring with 19 and handing Norfolk a resounding victory margin of 75 runs.

Bedfordshire U11 vs Norfolk U11 - Sunday 11th June
- Eaton Bray CC, Bedford

Ashtons Legal Norfolk U11:
189/7 From 40 Overs
Cambridgeshire U11:
185 All Out

After winning the toss and chosing to bat at Eaton Bray CC, Bedfordshire, Norfolk compiled a competitive total score of 189-7 from their 40 overs against some accurate and very lively bowling in windy but pleasant conditions. A patient 42 from opener James Woodhead, a well crafted 38 from Skipper Arthur Wilcox were the bedrock of the total supported by double figure contributions from Campbell Tillcock 23, Ben Hastings 16, Jamie Granville 13 and Harvey Moody 12 which gave Norfolk a decent total to defend but one which looked below par on a high-scoring ground.

Belligerent batting from Thomas Maynard 58 at the start of the Beds reply gave them a flying start with only Edward Cross (1-21) making in roads but some excellent out fielding and catching clawed it back and Norfolk had Beds 107-3 at drinks. Moody (8-1-25-1) and Enoch Uthayarajan (6-0-34-3) restored order with some excellent spin bowling and at 116-7 Beds looked to be in serious trouble but they reckoned without hard-hitting number nine Evan Williams (46) who smashed the ball to all parts but Granville (1-12), Jamie Pywell (1-27) and Wilcox (1-21) kept the game in the balance until an exceptional under-arm direct hit from Trent Stoltz saw Norfolk bowl out Beds for 185 and winning their fourth consecutive match by just four runs. Norfolk U11 vs Nottinghamshire U11- Sunday 18th June
- Stow CC

Nottinghamshire U11: 185/5 from 40 Overs
Ashtons Legal Norfolk U11:
186/7 from 35 Overs

On a blisteringly hot day at the beautiful Stow CC, Norfolk Under 11's entertained a strong Nottinghamshire and were ultimately victorious by 3 wickets.

After a 50 partnership between Hussain (19) and Gosnell the introduction of reliable off-spinner Harvey Moody induced the dismissal of both openers with Gosnell well stumped by Corey Rushton for 40. Moody finishing with the excellent figures of 8-2-12-2. Enoch Uthayarajan (8-0-37-2) got in on the act dismissing the next pair and with good fielding and generally tight bowling, Elliott Hart the pick of the remainder with 1-27. It was only a belligerent 56no from Holland that took Notts to a competitive total of 187-5 from their 40 overs.

Norfolk's reply started in disastrous fashion losing two wickets for just 5 runs but 23 quick runs from skipper Arthur Wilcox and a patient 39 from Ed Jay helped push the total past 100 but the loss of cheap wickets left Norfolk with a mountain to climb at drinks with the score on 106-7. Hart playing his first game back after injury and Campbell Tillcock put on an unbroken partnership of 86 with Hart scoring a well-crafted 54 and Tillcock providing excellent support with 29 and eventually closing the game out in Norfolk's favour in the 35th over to give them a hard-earned victory over a first class county.
