Umpire training courses announced for 2018

NACO Umpire Courses 2018

Umpiring is an integral part of our great summer game. However in recent years it has become harder to recruit new umpires to officiate in league cricket in Norfolk, as well as nationally.

The Norfolk Association of Cricket Officials and Norfolk Cricket Board are working on new plans for 2018 to bring more people in to umpiring, starting with the ECB Stage 1 & 2 courses which begin in January 2018.

Courses & Dates 2018

Stage 1 - Thursdays (11th, 18th & 25th January)
Stage 2 - Thursdays (1st, 8th, 15th & 22nd February)

Venue - Drayton Bowls Club - NR8 6AJ

Remember that whilst we would love to see new recruits seeking to join the league panel. we equally welcome those who wish to become better umpires within their clubs, for lower level (non panel) umpiring and friendlies.

All courses are run by ECB accredited tutors and lead to an official ECB qualification. It can also set you on the pathway to higher levels of umpiring if you wish, along the ECB's umpiring pathway.

Courses are reduced in price for 2018 and have been standardised in price across the country which we hope will entice more people to sign up. (Course Fee includes Resource pack & first year membership of ECB ACO (membership is optional and subject to meeting application criteria)

Stage 1 - £30
Stage 2 - £30

Stage 1 & Stage 2 Booked Together Special Price - £40
