Playing Regulations for all NSCA Competitions 2010
Under 15 20/20 Competition Playing Regulations County Rounds
The Laws of Cricket (including the size of bat, ball and wicket and length of pitch) will apply, with the following exceptions:-
1. (a) The length of the innings shall be 20 overs. The Final will be of 20 overs per side. One hour and fifteen minutes allowed to bowl the 20 overs.
(b) Each side must face 5 overs to constitute a match.
2. No player may bowl more than 4 overs (reduced proportionately for reduced over matches).
3. If a bowler breaks down, the remainder of the over will be bowled by another bowler. Such part of an over will count as a full over when working out each bowler’s limit.
4. The side which scores the most runs shall be the winner.
5. If the scores are level, the side which has lost the least wickets shall be the winner.
6. If the scores continue level, the winner shall be the side, in order:-
(a) which has received fewer balls at the end of the match
(b) which has the highest scoring rate over the first 10 overs of the innings
(c) which loses the least number of wickets in the first 10 overs of the innings
(d) which has the higher scoring rate over the first 10 overs of the innings
(e) losing the least number of wickets in the first 10 overs of the innings
7. If the scores are still level a bowl out will take place. Toss of a coin will be a last option.
8. (a) If rain curtails a match, the winner shall be the side scoring most runs in the first 10 overs of the innings, or 9, 8, 7, 6 down to 5.
(b) Rain affected games. Overs will be deducted at the rate of one per 3.75 minutes to a minimum of 5 overs per side.
Note: The ESCA regulations concerning CLOSE FIELDERS will apply in all matches.
Under 15 County Cup (Scott Chad Cup) Playing Regulations
The Laws of Cricket (including the size of bat, ball and wicket and length of pitch) will apply, with the following exceptions:-
1. The length of the innings shall be to a maximum of 30 overs (fewer by arrangement).
2. No bowler may bowl more than 6 overs (reduced proportionately for reduced over matches).
3. If for any reason a bowler is incapacitated or suspended during an over, another bowler shall complete the over from the same end, provided that he does not bowl 2 overs, or parts there of, consecutively in one innings.
4. The side which scores the most runs shall be the winner.
5. If the scores are level, the side which has lost the least wicket shall be the winner.
6. If the score continue level, the winner shall be the side , in order:-
· Which has received fewer balls at the end of the match
· Which has the highest scoring rate in the first 20 overs of their innings
· Which loses the least number of wickets in the first 20 overs of their innings
· Which has the highest scoring rate in the first 10 overs of their innings
· Losing the least number of wickets in the first 10 overs of their innings
7. If the scores are still level the captains will toss a coin to decide the winner.
8. If rain curtails a match, the winner shall be the side scoring more runs in the first 10 overs of their innings.
9. The decision of the Executive Committee is final in regard to any disputes or infringement of the rules.
Note: The ESCA regulations concerning CLOSE FIELDERS will apply in all matches. The ECB regulations regarding the use of helmets for batsmen and wicketkeepers, and the limitations placed on fast bowlers, will apply in all matches.

2. No bowler may bowl more than 8 overs (reduced proportionately for reduced over matches).
3. If for any reason a bowler is incapacitated or suspended during an over, another bowler shall complete the over from the same end, provided that he does not bowl 2 overs, or parts there of, consecutively in one innings.
4. The side which scores the most runs shall be the winner.
5. If the scores are level, the side which has lost the least wicket shall be the winner.
6. If the score continue level, the winner shall be the side , in order:-
· Which has received fewer balls at the end of the match
· Which has the highest scoring rate in the first 20 overs of their innings

(b)The stumps will be 27” x 8”
(c)The ball will be 4.75 ounces
2. The length of the innings shall be to a maximum of 24 overs (fewer by arrangement).
3. No bowler may bowl more than 5 overs (reduced proportionately for reduced over matches).
4. If for any reason a bowler is incapacitated or suspended during an over, another bowler shall complete the over from the same end, provided that he does not bowl 2 overs, or parts there of, consecutively in one innings.
5. The side which scores the most runs shall be the winner.
6. If the scores are level, the side which has lost the least wicket shall be the winner.

Under 12 County Cup (Bunbury Cup / Blyth Cup) Playing Regulations
1. ESCA recommends that
(a)The length of the pitch shall be 21 yards
(b)The stumps will be 27” x 8”
(c)The ball will be 4.75 ounces2. The length of the innings in the County rounds shall be to a maximum of 30 overs (fewer by arrangement).
3. The lengths of the innings in the National rounds shall be a maximum of 35 overs (fewer by arrangement, but not less than 30 unless rain affected). The semi-finals and the final will be 35 over matches.
4. In County Rounds no bowler may bowl more than 6 overs (reduced proportionately for reduced over matches).
5. In National Rounds no bowler may bowl more than 7 overs (reduced proportionately for reduced over matches).

The ESCA/Lord’s Taverners Under Eleven Hardball Competition 2010 Rules for the Tournament
1. Each team will consist of 8 players who will bat in pairs. Squads may be of up to ten players.
2. Each pair of batters will bat for three consecutive overs.
3. No bowler may bowl more than two overs in any one game.
4. The wicketkeeper may not bowl.
5. In the event of an injury to a player, a substitute will be allowed on the field, but not bowl. Should such an injury, prevent the player from batting, a substitute from the team’s squad will be allowed to bat.
6. Each team will commence its innings with a score of 200. When a batter is out for any reason, five runs will be deducted from the total. Otherwise runs will be scored in the normal way.
7. If a batter is dismissed he/she will not face the next delivery, even if this means changing ends.
8. The pitch shall be 20 yards long.
9. The ball shall be 4 ¾ oz.
10. Unless otherwise stated the normal rules of cricket (code 2000) will apply except that no extra ball will be given for a wide or no-ball unless this occurs in the last over of an innings.
11. No-one may field within 11 yards of the wicket, measured from the middle stump, except behind the wicket on the off-side. A fielder may move into the restricted area to make a catch or to field a ball provided he was outside the area when the stroke was made.
12. In accordance with the recommendation of the ECB, cricket helmets must be worn when batting or keeping wicket standing up. The ECB fast bowling regulations will apply.
13. The captain is in sole charge on the field and any coaching from the side by team managers or parents is to be discouraged.
14. The decision of the Executive Committee is final in regard to any disputes or infringement of the rules.
