Coaches Association to run two Workshops for Norfolk Coaches
Several of Norfolk's top coaches will be demonstrating the latest techniques and practices in cricket coaching, to enable the Cricket Coaching community in Norfolk to stay at the forefront of developing young talent in Norfolk. The Workshops will be lead by Chris Brown who recently gained his Level 4 coaching qualification. He will be supported by 3-4 other top coaches from around the county. Any qualified coach is welcome to attend the workshops. although there will be a small charge (£5) for any coach who is not a member of the ECB Coaches Association. (All ECB CA members are able to attend free of charge, as are any candidates from UKCC1 and UKCC2 courses in winter 2009-10).
The coaches will each run a 'station' on a particular specialist area, such as batting, fast bowling, fielding, spin bowling and strength and conditioning. They will be coaching groups of young players, demonstrating ideas and drills for coaches to take back to their clubs. The coaches will be available to answer questions from any coaches attending. Coaches attending the workshops can rotate around the stations to view all practice areas.
The session will be held as follows:
Monday 14th June 2010, 6pm - 8pm at Swanton Morley CC
Monday 12th July 2010, 6pm - 8pm at Brooke CC
This follows up from a very successful workshop that was run in 2009 at Great Melton Cricket Club (pictured right). It is hoped that local Norfolk coaches will make use of these excellent opportunities to learn from Norfolk's best coaches, and develop their own skills further.
Should you wish to secure a place on either workshop, then please email the NCB Coach Education Administrator Bim Down, with your name, email address and a phone number. Click here to email Bim.
