Sam Arthurton

Sam Arthurton is a product of the Norfolk County Age Group programme, having progressed throguh the ranks over recent years. He is also a player in Gt Witchingham CC's EAPL team, and has established himself as a Norfolk CCC 1st team regular in 2010 at the tender age of 18. While part of the NCB's Emerging Players Programme in 2009 he was accepted on to the Academy at Essex CCC.
2009-10 saw good progress with Sam’s technical, tactical and mental approach to the challenges of Minor Counties and Second Eleven Cricket. This was highlighted with an innings of 150 for the Second Eleven against Glamorgan in September. If he can continue to improve like Jaik Mickleburgh his fellow Norfolk team mate who has now played First Class Cricket for Essex, England U19s and been selected in the ECB Elite training programme this winter, then Sam has the potential makings of a professional cricketer.
