District U11 –v- County U11 at Gresham School, Holt – 25-April-2010
The District U11 squad was due to play a 40 over match against the County U11 squad and whilst both teams arrived at Gresham School, Holt the venue for this match, the heavens were relentless in the downpour of rain and the match was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
The idea behind the District –v- County squads is to provide a platform for the County Managers to have a second look at the players who were considered on the fringes of County selection and provide those District players with an opportunity to show off their skills and perhaps persuade the County Manager to include them in the Full County lineup. Continual improvement throughout the season by District Players is regarded as a springboard into the Full County side.
