O 60 Spitfire - Norfolk v Hertfordshire - Balls Park - 26th May 2010Norfolk 60+ kept the momentum up easily recording a 120 run victory over luckless Hertfordshire at Balls Park, Hertford. The visitors, winning the toss, had 101 up in 19 overs with the eternal partnership of Paul Rice (62) and Martin Pearse (36). Despite losing Ian Battelley (17) and the quick wickets of Richie Davies (3) and Richard Taylor (4), newcomer John Lund continued his top form with an emphatic 75*, aided and abetted by Evan Tuck’s 55. Some mighty blows from his trusty steed saw the visitors rocket to 273-6. Poor Hertfordshire never had the ammunition to prevail once Ted Levey (17) lad gone lbw to Saunders and the latter's 3-26 and Ian Battelley’s 3-23 saw the visitors keep the momentum going - winning by 120.
