NORFOLK RESULT - ECB NATWEST National U15 Club Knockout Competition
VAUXHALL MALLARDS beat BRADFIELD in the Norfolk round of the ECB NATWEST National U15 Club Knockout Competition and will play the winners of Huntingdonshire.
On a beautiful sunny Monday evening at the idyllic setting of Fakenham CC, Vauxhall Mallards won the toss and elected to bat in this FINAL of the Norfolk County section of the ECB NATWEST 20 over competition.
The Bradfield bowlers were somewhat wayward in the early overs and Vauxhall Mallards openers punished the loose bowling. Bradfield managed to take 3 good wickets whilst Vauxhall Mallards had 3 lads that reached 50 and were required to retire. Vauxhall Mallards amassed 193 off the allotted 20 overs.
Bradfields reply was always behind the run rate and only managed to score 111 for the loss of 3 wickets with 1 lad retiring on 50.
Vauxhall Mallards were deserved winners and now play the winners of Huntingdonshire.
The match will be at Vauxhall Mallards ground on SUNDAY 11-JULY-2010 with a start time of 10:30. We wish our U15's the very best of luck in the next round.
