County & District Trials (Boys & Girls) 2010 - 2011. Nominations open
Nominations Forms for this winter’s (2010-11) County and District Age Group Trials, leading to 2011 county squad selection are now available. The deadline for submitting County nominations is 31st August 2010. District nominations should be received by November 30th. You will notice that there are 3 sets of forms (available to download below in Word or PDF format) that we have listed, and we will cover what we expect from each type of nomination for your guidance:
1) County Age Group – Boys. This is for any of the County Age Group squads run by the NCB. Nominations made here should be for players who have demonstrated excellence in their play in the last 12 months. NCB are particularly keen to see nominations in the U10 age bracket, as this is the first age group covered in the County Boys programme.
2) District Trials – Boys. District cricket provides a stepping stone between the club and county teams. Each District (North, South, East and West) runs an U11 and U13 squad. Therefore please nominate boys in these age groups (and the year below if appropriate) who you feel are not quite ready for County Representation, but have that potential.
3) County Age Group - Girls. Girls cricket in Norfolk has come a long way in two years. The NCB now run girls U13, U15 and U17 teams. Please nominate any girls you have who show an aptitude for cricket at these age groups, even if they are a year below the named age group.
