Chance To Shine

Chance To Shine

Chance To Shine is a national charity which aims to spread the power of cricket throughout schools and communities. Since 2005, Chance to Shine has helped reverse the decline in cricket in state schools encouraging three million boys and girls in over 11,000 schools to play and learn through cricket.

In 2015 Norfolk Cricket Board delivered cricket coaching in 48 Primary, 16 High Schools and 8 Special Schools across the county bringing competitive cricket to over 3000 children in Norfolk.

For 2016, we have expanded our team of coaches and, with help from our 3 club project partners (Dersingham CC, Norwich CC and Old Buckenham CC), will this year bring our great game into even more schools. Norfolk Cricket Board work closely with clubs across Norfolk to let them know which schools in their area are part of our Chance to Shine programme. We encourage clubs to make contact and build relationships with their local schools in order to encourage more children to make the step from playing school cricket to enjoying club cricket.

To find your local cricket club please go to http://www.norfolkcricket.co.uk/article.asp?id=1346.

Here you will find details of their junior training nights, teams and contact information for the junior cricket coordinators.

For further information on Chance to Shine projects in Norfolk, email Sara Worley, NCB Chance to Shine Programmes Officer at sara.worley@norfolkcricket.co.uk.
