CricketForce 2008
NatWest CricketForce 2008 was launched on 27th August 2007. Here is some information to update you on the current situation and to help you encourage clubs to sign up.
- Here is a NWCF presentation (Power Point presentation) for you to use to educate your cricket clubs about CricketForce. The presentation can be adapted in a way that suits you and the club/s you are aiming at, so please do with it as you will and utilise it as best you can. If there’s anything else you’d like or need to know, please get in touch with me (Hannah Vaughan).
- So far we have had 360 clubs register for NatWest CricketForce which is a great start but we need to keep this rate going. Please do the best that you can in encouraging your clubs. Furthermore, all Focus Clubs should have CricketForce as part of their Development Plan and so should all be taking part; if we have all Focus Clubs do this, that is 1400 clubs without looking elsewhere so it’s something that needs emphasising to them. From next week we will be able to break down registrants by county board and therefore we will be able to provide support to those clubs currently registered and encourage those clubs who haven’t registered. This year all registration details are being stored on Play-Cricket, not CBMS, and soon I will have the details to give you so you can register to see all registrants and monitor your county’s progress.
- If you haven’t had your NWCF posters and postcards from Colour Stream, don’t panic, they are on their way. Again, please use these whenever and wherever appropriate and get the best use out of them. If they haven’t arrived by 3rd October please inform me.
- This year we will be sending out a NWCF newsletter every month with details of Official Supporters and their offers; previous club case studies; vital materials and just general encouragement to get clubs as organised as possible for the CricketForce weekend. You will all also receive these newsletters, so be sure to take a look at them and keep them to pass on to clubs whenever needed.
- The 2008 NWCF section of the website is fully updated with vital materials, case studies, news items and up to date details of Official Supporters so please endeavour to direct clubs there so they can read about and see what CricketForce is all about and the benefits associated with it. We’ve recently had the 2007 DVD added to the NWCF 2008 front page on the website which will hopefully prove an extra encouragement to clubs looking to sign up.
- The NatWest CricketForce helpdesk is up and running, and available for all clubs who have any problems or need any advice or guidance. This will be on all newsletters and is on the website but please make clubs aware of it where possible.

We hope your planning and preparation for NatWest CricketForce 2008 is going well and your project details are coming together. If you haven’t put details of your projects on your registration profile on Play-Cricket or completed all your contact details please do so as soon as possible so that we can see what plans you have and help you in any way possible, including directing our Official Supporters and NatWest staff towards you. Furthermore, as we are now in the process of looking for our 2008 Showcase Clubs, we need to see all project details to make the right decision, so get to your profile now and start typing away to put your club in the frame.
We still have copies of the NatWest CricketForce 2007 DVD, which is so inspiring, available. If you would like a copy to show your club members, businesses and community to encourage their support please email the helpdesk – with your name and address and one will be sent out to you.
Please also contact our helpdesk if you have any questions or if you require any advice on what you’re doing. We will try to help you in any way possible to make NatWest CricketForce work as well for you as possible.
