Norfolk Seniors

Norfolk Seniors have sides in the O50 & O60 County Championships as well as O60 2nd XI championship, for the first time in 2010, playing cricket against similar sides in the East of England initially. The 3 championship sides then progress to National playoffs. There is also an O50 2nd XI playing friendly matches against teams from Suffolk, Essex, Lincs & Herts. In 2011 Norfolk are combining with Suffolk to play O70 cricket against up to 6 similarly combined county teams.
The Championship O50 side plays in the Eastern section (7 matches) & regularly qualifies for the National Quarterfinals stages. They are captained for 2011 by Mark Lester.
The Championship O60 side plays in an ever expanding competition (only 9 counties in 2008, 26 in 2011) in one of 4 divisions which include Leics, Middx, Essex, Suffolk & Herts. They are captained by Paul Rice. Norfolk were National Champions in 2009. Both Paul & Martin Pearse represented England O60 in the first Senior International against Wales.
The Senior 2nd XI for O50 are managed by Mike Banham.
The Senior 2nd XI for O60 are captained in 2011 again by Dave Etheridge.
The O70 side will be managed by Mike Smith from Norfolk & Chris Watson from Suffolk. Players from age 68 are allowed to play for the O70’s.
