Schools Coaching

The Norfolk Cricket Board is fully committed to promoting the game of cricket in both primary and high schools across Norfolk. In 2010 the NCB will be directly deploying some 12 fully qualified and vetted coaches into around 50 schools to develop the game and also these schools links with local clubs. Funding is provided for these programmes through a variety of external sources, as well as the NCB's own money.

The NCB also works with clubs to develop their own schools links, and currently the Focus Club network ensures that another 120 schools receive coaching, and their pupils have the chance to try the game of cricket at school, and at their local club.

All schools coaching is also linked to appropriate competitions, such as the ASDA Kwik Cricket competitions, which in 2010 attracted a total of some 200 schools.
