Disability

The Norfolk Cricket Board are keen to be inclusive and offer disabled cricket opportunities to those around the county. Although working with SEN schools to develop opportunities for children to participate we are keen to take this to a wider audience where great strides have been made during the past 18 months.

Under the guidance of Cricket Development Officer Kevin Denmark the good work started in 2010 will continue into 2011 where plans include :-

SEN schools programme to include a table cricket County championship, a five week coaching programme for SLD schools at The UEA & a combined MLD / SLD festival of traditional kwik cricket and adapted cricket at Gt Witchinghamm CC.

During late 2010 and continuing into this year has seen the provision of cricket in adult day centres across the County which will cumulate in a County day centre championship during the easter holidays.

If anybody would like any further information then please contact Kevin at The Norfolk Cricket Board tel 07876 561388 or e-mail kevin.denmark@norfolkcricket.co.uk
