Advertisement for Norfolk Recreational Cricket Association (NRCA) Chair
As part of the arrangements for forming one Saturday cricket league in Norfolk (to be called the Norfolk Recreational Cricket Association) in time for the 2022 season the Norfolk Cricket Board (NCB) are responsible for appointing a Chair for the first two years of the new league. The NCB are therefore now seeking expressions of interest in this role.
In this respect, we are seeking to appoint a Chair who:
- Can demonstrate a good understanding of league cricket in Norfolk and the issues facing it
- Has a good knowledge of the principles that have driven the creation of the new league
- Is committed to ensuring the success and development of the new league
- Can demonstrates good leadership and chairing skills
- Will give confidence to clubs.
The successful applicant will chair both general meetings of the new league and also meetings of the Executive Committee. She or he will also work closely with the paid Administrator to be appointed by the NCB.
Although, after the first two years, the appointment of a Chair will be made by clubs at the Annual General Meeting, the successful applicant will of course be eligible to continue in this role.
