Grounds

The Norfolk Groundskeepers Association is now fully managed directly by the Norfolk Cricket Board. We are committed to supporting clubs, schools and councils with grounds issues, queries and training opportunities.

We continue to work closely with ECB and the GMA (Ground Management Association) as part of the ECB Inspiring Generations strategy which seeks to continue improving and developing fine turf facilities in the County.

As part of the ongoing service to support clubs, the NCB will continue to deliver the Ground Support Programme each year which is delivered by the County Pitch Advisors and the GMA. Clubs and Leagues will continue to have access to NCB County Pitch Advisor support to help those experiencing pitch difficulties and dealing with specific queries from clubs or leagues on a range of technical issues.

Providing and maintaining safe, high-quality playing surfaces is hugely important, be they fine turf, non-turf or indoor practice facilities.

The NCB are committed to raising standards in all areas of our game, including achieving the best possible playing surfaces at all grounds from the smallest club to the NCCC County Ground.

Grounds Management Association (GMA)

The leading not-for-profit membership organisation that supports and celebrates all grounds professionals and volunteers. The GMA website has lots of useful information for cricket clubs and ground staff.
