Each side completes a full schedule of summer fixtures, as well as a robust and intensive programme of winter trials and training to ensure that the County are maximising the playing potential of the players concerned, as well as making sure that the pool of players is drawn from the very best talent in the County at that particular age group. We also pride ourselves in using the best Coaches available in Norfolk to identify the best talent and potential within our club youth cricket circuit.
The NCB take great pride in the success of our Centre of Excellence (COE) and Emerging Players Programme (EPP) which has grown in strength and depth year on year. This is particular evident on the COE where over 50% of the players our from our Girls County-Age-Group teams.
Over the past few years we have had record numbers for trialists at these county age groups showing more players are playing the game creating a stronger pyramid from club cricket to county cricket and national honours within the ever-growing girls & ladies game.
Church of England Young Men’s Society (CEYMS) continue to support Girls County-Age-Group cricket in Norfolk. Their continued funding has helped to develop our girls programme in recent years.
