Former Norfolk Cricket Board Vice-Chair, David Browne passes away

David Browne passed away peaceful in the early hours of Monday 5th January 2026 aged 77 following a long-term battle with his health.

David was very well known and dedicated many years of voluntary service to recreational cricket in Norfolk Cricket, especially the Norfolk Cricket Board where he served as a Director and Vice-Chair for 10 years between 2011 and 2021.

David was Chair of Horsford Cricket Club for 13 years (1999 to 2012), he was Chair of the Men’s East Anglian Premier League for 8 years (2014-2022) and was also a previous committee member of the Norfolk Cricket Alliance to name just a few of his many voluntary positions.

Our thoughts are with Caroline, his family and close friends at this sad time.
