Introduction to Scoring Course – Sunday 26th March 2023

This is an ideal course for complete beginners or as a refresher for anyone returning to scoring. It covers the very basics of scoring and is ideal for parents who want to get more involved or anyone who wants to get started in scoring. The aim of this course is to identify and practice the basic skills with which to record a cricket match.

Time: 10am to 4pm
Location: Horsford Cricket Club

It doesn’t cover everything, but it will give you the tools to get started, including:
– Scoring record (scoresheet)
– Umpire’s signals
– Scoring symbols
– Recording wickets and extras
– Scoresheet balancing

On entering the ground keep to the left and go to the parking. Enter through the back door. Tea and coffee will be provided. Please bring your pens and other things you think you will need. It is good to have a calculator with you

This is a one day course and will finish on the same day. Please bring your own lunch with you (you will need it).
