Lady Taverner’s U13 & U15 Competitions

Following the postponement of the 2020 competitions due to COVID-19, we are glad to announce the details are announced for 2021.

It goes without saying that Covid-19 had a massive impact on cricket in 2020 and although it’s difficult to predict what restrictions will be in force next year the ECB have assumed that there will be some and have adapted some of the national competitions with this in mind. The Lady Taverners U13 & U15 Club Hardball T20 will commence on Sunday 2^nd May with the finals being held later in the season on Wednesday 18^th August for the U13’s with the U15’s taking place on the following day, both finals will be held at Neston CC in Cheshire.

Lady Tavs U13 Girls Club Softball
The aim is to provide a fun introduction to the game for girls at cricket clubs and encourage fair play by all.

Organised by NCB during the season, club softball includes a festival day that will determine county winner.

Format – 8-a-side, softball, pairs cricket, runs total starts at 200 with five runs deducted for every wicket lost, all players encouraged to bowl.

Lady Tavs U13 & U15 Girls Club T20
The aim is to provide girls at cricket clubs an opportunity to transition to hard ball cricket within a competitive structure against teams of a similar age whilst still making the game fun and sociable.

Format – 8 a side, hard ball, T20 rules.

The early rounds for both age groups are regionalised to minimise travel distances where possible. There are six regional competitions which lead to a national finals for the remaining four teams.

This is open to all clubs affiliated to the NCB. The competition is administered centrally by the ECB competitions team and the play-cricket website is used for communication of fixtures and results.
