NACO Winter Umpiring Courses 2022/23

The Norfolk Association of Cricket Officials are running several Umpiring Courses over the upcoming winter months for new and prospective officials.

ECB Online Stage One (FREE)

This online course is designed to give you an overview of the basic Laws of the game and how to apply them and introduce the principles of field craft and match management. It will give you the tools to enable you to umpire matches at the basic recreational level where there are no independent umpires appointed. This course is completely online and once registered you should receive your e-learning log in details within two working days. 

Stage One Registration

It’s Your Call Umpire Education Stage Two – Norfolk ACO (£30 Per Person)

CANDIDATES NEED TO COMPLETE THE ONLINE STAGE 1 BEFORE ATTENDING THE STAGE 2 FACE TO FACE COURSE!

  • Sunday 19th and Sunday 26th February (Need to attend both weeks)
  • 9:15am until 4pm Each Week
  • Lincoln Hall, Hingham, NR9 4HW

This course is designed to build on Umpire Education Stage One, covering further Laws and exploring the concept of working as part of a team with a colleague and the scorers. It is intended to introduce you to the skills and knowledge required to be a member of a league panel. Once you have completed the course, we recommend that you refresh your understanding of the Laws covered and study them more thoroughly by referring to the MCC on-line Laws resource.

The hall has a large, free car park. Tea and Coffee will be provided throughout the course.

Please bring your own food as this will NOT be provided The hall has WiFi so should you wish to use a laptop or iPod to assist your training then please feel free to do so.

Cost: £30 Per Person (Bursary Available upon Completion)
