NCA and NCL Joint Statement – Teas

Norfolk Cricket Board / Norfolk Cricket Alliance / Norfolk Cricket League Statement

The Norfolk Cricket Board have agreed to issue a joint statement on behalf of the Norfolk Cricket Alliance and Norfolk Cricket League ahead of the 2021 season which is scheduled to start on Saturday 1st May.

The two league committees have considered the current Government and ECB Coronavirus guidance and based on the ongoing uncertainty have agreed that there will be no teas for the whole of the 2021 season.

Whilst it is hoped that the current ECB Coronavirus guidelines will be relaxed over the coming months as per the Government roadmap, it remains uncertain what will and will not be possible this summer. The league committees took the difficult decision in order to help clubs prepare for the season and reduce additional workload for volunteers.

The East Anglian Premier League and Mid-Norfolk Sunday League have adopted a similar stance for the 2021 season.
