Required for start: Immediately

The Norfolk Cricket Board (NCB) are currently undergoing a Governance review as part of the ECB’s new governance requirements for county cricket boards. As part of this review, we have looked closely at our Safeguarding provisions and procedures. Collectively we all have a part to play to ensure the game is a safe, positive and enjoyable experience for the children and young adults who participate in cricket.

As part of this review, it has been agreed that Liz Plater will vacate her current role of NCB County Safeguarding Officer to take up a new role as Board Safeguarding Lead. Liz will seek to ensure safeguarding is embedded as a key business responsibility across all areas of operations in line with the ECB Safeguarding Standards in the ECB County Partnership Agreement. Liz will work closely and support the County Safeguarding Officer.

Therefore, the Norfolk Cricket Board are seeking a County Safeguarding Officer to work as part of the safeguarding team. The successful candidate will be the lead person with responsibility for setting the standard on safeguarding and embedding a culture of good practice throughout clubs in Norfolk. The candidate will work closely with the Board Safeguarding Lead and Deputy Safeguarding Officer.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a respected, stable and forward-thinking County Board and help to embed a culture of safeguarding across all areas of the game.
