NCB One League Statement – 11/01/2021

11th January 2021

I’m writing to follow up the statement the Board issued on 7th December about the timetable for moving forward the proposals for One League.

The intention before Christmas was for a zoom meeting to be held in early February to give clubs the opportunity to ask questions about the updated proposals. Following that meeting, we had then hoped to hold another formal vote on creating One League at the end of February.

However, as a result of the recent Government announcements and the introduction of a further national lockdown as a result of COVID, the Working Group recognise the added uncertainty this has caused and we are therefore proposing to adjust slightly the original timetable.

We now propose to hold the club meeting via zoom in late February with a view to having a formal vote in the middle of March.

We will of course keep clubs updated on this timetable and circulate the draft constitution and rules in good time for clubs to consider them ahead of the club meeting and subsequent vote.
