Norfolk Club Welfare Officer – Minimum Requirements
The ECB and Norfolk Cricket Board take Child Welfare issues very seriously. As a result, all clubs in Norfolk are required to appoint a Club Welfare Officer who is trained in Safeguarding and Protecting Children (SPC) and Safe Hands (previously Time to Listen) which is the Cricket specific child welfare course.

All Club Welfare Officers should have the following certification:
– ECB Safe Hands
– SportsCoach UK Safeguarding & Protecting Children (Click HERE)
– DBS Check (Click HERE)

All of these MUST be renewed every 3 years to continue to meet the criteria.

(Please Note: ECB Safeguarding Young Cricketers Online Course is for COACHES ONLY, Club Welfare Officers MUST still complete the SPC Course
