Norfolk Cricket Board set to become a Charitable Foundation

23rd December 2024

The Norfolk Cricket Board Limited is set to become a charitable company in the first quarter of 2025. The legal change in company status will see the NCB rebranded and operate under a new name of the Norfolk Cricket Foundation.

The change to a charitable company will allow Norfolk Cricket Foundation to build upon the strong structure that is currently in operation under the NCB.

It will also enable new opportunities to diversify cricket offers and funding opportunities as we strive to grow recreational cricket across the whole of the county.

Jane Hannah, Norfolk Cricket Board Chair, said: “This is a really exciting period for cricket in Norfolk, with an incredible base already in place through the tireless work of volunteers at community, club and league level.

“We are now looking to take cricket to even more people and communities. Becoming a charitable company will help us to broaden our offer and see cricket presented as a game for all.”

Following a submission to the Charity Commission in late December, it is expected that the official legal work and paperwork will see the Norfolk Cricket Foundation officially launched during March 2025.

At the same time the NCF will also launch its new strategy ‘A Game for Everyone’ covering the period 2025-2028.

As part of the rebrand, we are pleased to launch the new Norfolk Cricket Foundation brand and logo. The logo incorporates elements of the traditional Norfolk crest with a modern twist and will adorn all Norfolk Cricket Foundation materials including all branding on clothing, website, letter headings, social media and will replace the old logo once the legal work is completed.

We are also pleased to announce that we have signed an agreement with MR Cricket Hockey, who will be our new clothing provider on a three-year deal.

New clothing will see Norfolk Cricket Foundation Staff, Youth and Women’s County teams wear Stuart Surridge ‘SS’ teamwear and playing kit. The new teamwear will move away from the navy blue colour and instead will be replaced with black and gold clothing, personalised to Norfolk Cricket Foundation.

Cricket Development Director Lewis Denmark said: “We are determined to make cricket as inclusive as it possibly can be. The change to the Norfolk Cricket Foundation is a great opportunity to grow recreational cricket in the county whilst still continuing all of the fantastic work that the development staff currently deliver.”
