A chartered accountant specialising in charities Giles has been at accountancy firm Larking Gowen since 2000 and a partner for the past three years.

Giles leads the firm’s specialist not-for-profit team, advising a wide range of organisations on financial reporting, governance, and charity tax matters.

Giles has been a Governor and Audit Committee Chair at East Coast College for the past seven years.  Previously Giles has served as a Director at Gecko Theatre between 2015 and 2023 and as a Director and Audit Committee Chair at Norfolk Educational Services from 2012 to 2018.

A lifelong cricketer, Giles has been a member of Sprowston Cricket Club since 2004 – where he is Membership Secretary. Giles plays in Sprowston’s 4th XI and Over-40s team and formerly played at King’s Lynn and Castle Rising cricket clubs.

Jane Hannah, Norfolk Cricket Foundation Chair, said: “It’s a real pleasure to welcome Giles as a trustee. He brings a strong financial expertise and a real commitment to our vision. Giles is joining a fantastic group of trustees, and I’m excited about what he’ll bring to the team.”

Lewis Denmark, NCF Cricket Development Director, said: “Having appointed Norwich Accountancy Services to manage our day-to-day financial controls, Giles will bring a wealth of experience and value to support the organisation from a financial oversight perspective. Having been appointed before Christmas, Giles has already supported me immensely and is playing a key role in the creation of our first year SORP charitable accounts having moved to a charitable company in 2025. ”

Giles Kerkham said: “NCF has a fantastic team of staff and trustees, and I’m incredibly proud to join them. Club cricket has been a huge part of my life, and I’m excited by the charity’s mission to bring more people into bat‑and‑ball games, with all the sporting and wider benefits they provide. Furthermore I’m looking forward to doing what I can to help the Foundation unlock the opportunities of its new charity status.”
