Norfolk Youth Cricket Squads Announced 2021

Announcement – NYC County Age-Group Squads 2021

Congratulations to all players who have been selected to represent Norfolk Youth Cricket during the 2021 season. Following a two stage trial process during the Autumn & Winter of 2020, the coaching teams selected the final squads prior to Christmas.

We would like to wish every player the upmost success with their cricket for the 2021 season and fingers crossed for a full season.

*COVID-19 Update*

Following on from the Government announcements Monday evening which confirmed the National Lockdown, the NCB can confirm that the Norfolk Youth Cricket Programme will be suspended until further notice.

This is based on guidance set out by the Government, Sport England and ECB which does not allow supervised indoor sport and physical activity. Activity will return as and when we move back into Tier 3 as you can see below we are to part of the exemptions for Tier 4 or National Lockdown.

In tier 4 the exemptions are only for:

• Elite sport that follows the government’s elite sport guidance
• Sport as part of the curriculum in education
• Supervised outdoor sport and physical activity for under-18s (including those who were under 18 on 31 August 2020)
• Outdoor activities for disabled people.

Despite the ongoing disruption to the programme, we will ensure that all sessions that are cancelled will be re-arranged and it is likely that the rearranged sessions will take place outside in the summer. Any sessions that cannot be rearranged will be fully refunded to the parents directly but we hope this will not be required.
