NRCA – August Bulletin

This is to update clubs and players on the work of the Interim Committee following the overwhelming decision in March to create one Saturday cricket league from 2022.
Appointment of Chair
David Browne has been appointed as Chair of the NRCA; he will hold the post as an NCB appointee until the AGM of autumn 2023, when the Chair will be elected by clubs.
Administrator in post
Jane Morton took up her post on 1stAugust and should now be the main point of contact for clubs. Jane’s email address is firstname.lastname@example.org and her mobile number is 07762 023081.
The Interim Committee is currently exploring sponsorship opportunities and discussing options for club membership and subscription fees to secure the financial viability of the NRCA.
NRCA Executive Committee members
The Interim Committee has finalised the roles that will be held by the members of the Executive Committee. Clubs will be circulated shortly after the end of the current season with a list of posts and how nominations can be made. Nominations will need to be submitted to the Administrator by September 30th.
Proposals for Rule Changes
Any proposals for changes in the General Rules or the Match Playing Conditions & Regulations that were voted on in March should be submitted by clubs by 30thSeptember. Any proposal would have to have received the written support of two other clubs before the deadline for submission on September 30thif it is to be discussed and voted on at the inaugural AGM.
Applications from New Teams
Any club that wishes to make an application for entry to the NRCA of a team that has not competed in the current season in the NCA or NCL should write to the Administrator by September 30th.
Any club that has not entered a team in either the NCA or NCL in the current season but wishes to do so in the NRCA for the 2022 season, should also make an application in writing to the Administrator by September 30th.
Information from clubs
At the end of this season, the Administrator will ask all clubs for contact details of their key officers in order to facilitate communication.
These competitions will be available to all clubs affiliated to the NCB and will take the place of those previously organised under the auspices of the NCB, NCA and NCL, these being:
- the NCB/NCL softball competitions
- the NCA hardball competitions
- the West Norfolk Junior League
Entries for these competitions will need to be made by January 31st 2022.

Player registration will begin early in 2022.
All clubs are reminded that this event will be held at Wymondham Rugby Club on Monday 6th December. At about the same time the closing meetings of the NCA and NCL will also take place.
