Schools Cricket

The Norfolk Cricket Board believes Cricket activity in schools is a critical part of spreading the power of cricket and the benefits it has to the Growth/Development of cricket in Norfolk.

The aim is to encourage opportunity and participation for children at all schools through all year groups. Suitable competitions are provided to reinforce the game and these are not only available in the summer, as there are several indoor winter competitions available for both males and females.

The Norfolk Cricket Board deliver cricket sessions in state school environments on behalf of the Chance to Shine Charity with delivery in primary schools and secondary schools. We also deliver Table Cricket and Super 1’s Cricket on behalf of the Lords Taverners Charity.

The Norfolk Cricket Board works closely with the eight School Sports Partnerships (SSP’s) and the School Games Organisers (SGOs) as well as Active Norfolk and Local Authorities in order to deliver a range of school’s activity and competitions.

Activity will also include coaching sessions, development days, Young Leaders courses, Cricket for Teachers courses, upskilling sessions and of course the critical area of linking schools to local clubs.

Please see the video below demonstrating the impact our Chance 2 Shine Cricket delivery can have on your school. This video features two of our very own NCB coaches at a school south of Norwich, Brooke Primary.
