Women’s Big Cricket Month

7th May 2021

September 2020 was the first Women’s Big Cricket Month, which saw 400 events taking place across the country, this year we would love to double that.  June will be a month-long celebration of everything brilliant about women’s and girls’ cricket and we’d love you to get involved.  Why?

  • We have a singular moment to be part of the nation emerging from COVID-19 into the summer.  We want to continue to drive positive coverage of women and girls’ cricket.
  • We’d love to hear and share your stories of the wonderful women and girls, that play, volunteer and make a difference in cricket under one umbrella #WomensCricketMonth
  • The season has started brilliantly, with unprecedented demand for All Stars and Dynamos Cricket, and more matches being played in the opening weeks compared to 2019. We’d like to work with you to continue this momentum, to offer more opportunities for women and girls’ to play cricket in July and August.
  • With England Women taking on India during June, we’ll be shining a light on the heroes of the elite women’s game.
  • Finally, we’ll be building up towards the start of The Hundred on 21st July when the Oval Invincibles take on the Manchester Originals at The Kia Oval
