Young Leaders in Cricket Course 2023 – Leadership & Volunteering (14-16 Age Group)

7th March 2023

Volunteers are the heartbeat of recreational cricket and we know how important they are for cricket clubs delivering programmes and remaining sustainable. Norfolk Cricket Board are looking to partner up with a programme called Young Leaders in Cricket which is aimed at getting 14–16-year-olds involved in a Leadership and Volunteering programme. In 2022 we had 27 people go through the programme and we already have 15 signed up for 2023.

Following completion of the course, we hope that the players will actively volunteer at their club once the programme has finished. (“A comprehensive and engaging programme made up of 5 modules which embody leadership and associated life skills”)

The course will be delivered by accredited trainers the ECB/ACO/CGA/and a first aid training provider. There is a subscription of £50 to join the programme per participant to cover the cost of the course delivery and administration, all professional time to deliver the programme is donated voluntarily.

We would be very grateful if you could share this opportunity to any 14-16 year old at your club who you feel may be interested in this opportunity. The deadline for Young Volunteers to sign up for the 2023 Young Leaders in Cricket Programme is Friday 31st March!
