Young Leaders in Cricket Courses (13-17 year olds) – May Half-Term 2026

Volunteers are the heartbeat of recreational cricket and we know how important they are for cricket clubs delivering programmes and remaining sustainable. Norfolk Cricket Foundation are partnering up with a programme called Young Leaders in Cricket which is aimed at getting 13–17-year-olds involved in a Leadership and Volunteering programme.
May Half-Term Dates/Locations (People only need to attend one date)
- Wednesday 27th May 2026, North Runcton CC, 9:30am until 4:30pm
- Friday 29th May 2026, Horsford CC, 9:30am until 4:30pm
*Players will need to bring their own food and drink for the day as appropriate. Parents/Guardians do not need to stay at the venue during the day but can do so if they wish to do so.
Young Leaders in Cricket Programme Detail
Following completion of the course, we hope that the players will actively volunteer at their club once the programme has finished. (“A comprehensive and engaging programme made up of 6 modules which embody leadership and associated life skills”)

The course will be delivered by accredited trainers from Norfolk Cricket Foundation.
Cost
There is an initial subscription of £50 to join the programme per participant to cover the cost of the course delivery and administration, all professional time to deliver the programme is donated voluntarily. There is then an expectation that each child will raise a further £60 through the fundraising aspect of the programme as part of their volunteering in the summer.
